SIP Dividend History in Nepal — All Open-Ended Mutual Fund Schemes

The highest-dividend-paying-capacity SIPs are the primary method for achieving the highest possible return on your investment. If you invest in SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) mutual funds in Nepal, then dividend history is one of the foremost factors to consider for getting returns. Like close-ended mutual funds, open-ended mutual funds (SIPs) also declare dividends (Cash, Bonus units, or both) every fiscal Year. I’ve shared the SIP Dividend History for all SIPs. This page brings the dividend records for all Open-Ended Mutual SIPs managed by every Issue Manager in Nepal.

Important: Past dividend history of any open-ended mutual fund doesn’t guarantee the same or higher future returns. Dividends depend on the performance of the funds, market conditions, and board decisions. Always read the public notice shared by your Issue Manager, and read the terms before starting SIP.

What Is SIP Dividend in Nepal?

In simple terms, a dividend is the return on your investment, the interest that you get from your Savings or fixed bank deposit. But like Bank’s FD, the rate of return is not fixed. So, when you invest in an open-ended mutual fund using SIP (as a tool), the issue manager will buy the units for you at the current NAV (Net Asset Value). So, based on the total units held by you or any investor, the issue manager will distribute the profit as a return to unitholders like you. There are two common forms of Dividend Distribution:

  • Cash dividend — paid per unit (shown in NPR on many fund reports)
  • Bonus units — extra units added to your holding instead of cash

In Nepal, SEBON regulates the issue manager. SEBON (Securities Board of Nepal) is the government-owned regulatory organization that oversees all Mutual funds, investment, and share market-related activities. So, it also regulates your issue manager, like Nabil Investment Banking, RBB Merchant Banking, NMB Capital, etc. So, the issue manager announces the dividend on their website and in the annual report after SEBON’s approval.

Dividend is not the same as SIP return. Your total return includes NAV growth plus any dividend or bonus received over your holding period. A dividend is just the return you receive from your issuing manager. So, it’s wise to enable the Dividend Reinvestment option while starting or registering the SIP.

How to Read the Dividend History Table Below

So, to decide on the favorable SIPs and/or compare all SIPs’ dividend. Here, I have prepared the complete date for each SIP. You can check all the data above. Here’s the key guide for everyone to easily see the dividend-related data. Each scheme block on this page shows:

How to Read the Dividend History Table

Column meanings used across all SIP scheme dividend records on this page.

ColumnMeaning
Fiscal Year FY Meaning Nepali fiscal year (e.g. FY 2081/82)
Dividend Date Date Meaning Date dividend was declared or paid
Dividend Cash Meaning Cash dividend amount (if applicable)
Div % Rate Meaning Dividend percentage declared for that year
Bonus Units Meaning Bonus units or bonus percentage (if any)
NAV Value Meaning Net Asset Value around the dividend period

How Dividends Affect Your SIP Returns

A dividend is the return you receive, mostly every Year, after your Issuer Manager declares it. So, the dividend is the profit on your investment, which is to be reinvested as a sum or principal unit. So, let’s clear on how SIP Dividend affects your SIP Returns.

When a fund declares a dividend:

  1. Cash dividend — money is credited (or reinvested if you chose that option with your issue manager)
  2. Bonus dividend — your unit count increases; NAV is adjusted accordingly, so it increases your unit count, which definitely helps to get more return next Year
  3. NAV drop — after cash dividend, NAV often falls by a similar amount on the ex-dividend date

If you are planning for long-term wealth, you have to focus on both Dividend and NAV, not just the dividend you receive. Also, always enable the dividend reinvestment option in your SIP. IfSIP. If not, visit the capital page and enable it from your SIP user. You can also use our free SIP Calculator to project returns based on your monthly amount, duration, and expected return rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a high dividend mean the best SIP in Nepal?

No at all. Although the highest-dividend-paying SIPs are the prime factor in getting the maximum return on your investment, an underperforming NAV will reduce your returns. So, it’s better to choose the SIP Scheme with stable Returns and a higher NAV.

How often do SIP mutual funds pay dividends in Nepal?

Returns are declared once per fiscal Year, but the timing and percentage may vary depending on various factors.

Do SIP investors get the same dividend as lump-sum investors?

Yes, for the issue manager and when distributing dividends, the number of units held is considered rather than the investment cycle.

Where can I verify official dividend announcements?

You can check out your official Issue Manager social platform; it’s best to visit the Issue Manager site.

Why does some scheme show “No dividend records yet”?

Most SIP Schemes in Nepal are new, and as of now, only a few have started distributing them. So, we only add distributed dividends after verifying them from an official source.

SIP Dividend History in any Schemes is just considered a factor for future returns. But the actual and future returns are not predictable. So, you can use this official data as a reference, not just for service.
